One billion thanks

Winning an account for GSK, a world-leading pharmaceutical brand, at a super competitive global pitch was one thing. But becoming the creative lead for Rotarix, an infant vaccine that has protected over 500 million babies worldwide from potentially deadly rotavirus, took professional fulfilment to whole other level.

And so it was that I became copy lead for Rotarix as they sought to mark the triumphant occasion of reaching one billion doses distributed worldwide. The brief was thus: thank doctors for making it all possible, and make sure that babies are the star of the show.

And boy, did we: devising a full funnel campaign crowned by a film, featuring no fewer than nine babies (and marking the most adorable shoot of my career). Our idea was to honour the myriad ways doctors ensure their littlest patients have a positive vaccination experience, time and again.

The film-led campaign was shared globally via GSK's digital marketing ecosystem for healthcare professionals, including EDM and WhatsApp messages. To ring in the mega milestone at GSK HQ in Belgium, we created a series of activation materials like an interactive puzzle wall, rollups and merchandise.
