Us writers gotta have a soft spot for the printed word! And I have to say, my editorial experience was hugely formative for my writing practice. I learnt a lot from sitting down and speaking with a gloriously wide range of people, exploring their ideas and opinions and distilling all that down into a story to take the reader on a journey while nailing the facts. That’s a writer’s mandate in any medium, right?
